VertexGraph enables Zero Trust protection for web applications you host in the cloud. In this article, we will walk through the steps to add such a web application.
Adding the application in VertexGraph
1. Click on the “Assets” icon on the left column, then click on the “Applications” tab
2. Click on the “New application” button on the top right
3. Click on “Choose” next to Cloud Web Application/API
4. Give it a name and description
5. Enter the application server access point. For example, here we use the internal URL for a website hosted on Netlify.
6. Toggle on “Enable Zero Trust Access”
7. You can then configure which domains users can be directed from the original application domain. For the example app, we will stick with the default option.
8. We get taken to the “Enable SAML SSO” page, for now we will also leave this at the default of OFF.
9. Next, we can add some users who are allowed to access this application and finish adding the application.
Testing the application
1. To test the application, you click on “Open”.
2. The application gets opened up. Note that the URL is a different one from the internal URL we put earlier.
